Associate Consultant

Ron is a skilled and knowledgeable human resource practitioner, executive coach, and organization consultant, with over 25 years experience in the corporate, public service, and not-for-profit sectors.

Ron’s core competencies include executive coaching, team development, change leadership consulting, consultative sales and influencing, organizational alignment, process design and facilitation.
With a focus on improving organizational performance through effective talent management, Ron works with leaders, at all levels to manage change, align employees and teams to a common vision, and to build processes, tools and procedures to realize short and long-term goals.

His depth and breadth of knowledge and skill come from hands-on consulting to organizations with ambitious growth goals and complex issues, dependant upon people to achieve their success.

Ron operates on the assumption that leaders and employees of most organizations know the issues and how to solve them. What is needed is someone who can ask the right questions, help them examine consequences, and create the vehicles for input, dialogue, decision-making, and execution.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts from Trent University and has completed post-graduate studies with the Gestalt Institute of Toronto and the National Training Institute. He is a Certified Master Trainer/Facilitator in TQM, Change Leadership, Sales and Negotiating, Training of Trainers. Ron is also a member of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario (HRPAO).

A representative selection of Ron’s consulting assignments includes:

  • Provided coaching and support to leaders on the merger of three organizations that resulted in a smooth, efficient and timely integration of Human Resources into one organizational entity.
  • Designed and provided support to creating a Coaching Culture that is credited with improving employee survey ratings for coaching in one year.
  • Lead the implementation of Total Quality Management that instilled a continuous improvement mentality into the culture.
  • Designed and implemented Performance Management and Appraisal processes for four organizations that resulted in alignment of objectives and roles throughout the organizations.
  • Based on customer and employee input, designed and implemented customer service standards and supporting tools that achieved consistency and responsiveness to customer needs that resulted in a significant improvement in customer retention.
  • Coached the President of Canada’s largest transportation company on how to improve senior team effectiveness, and facilitated a series of senior executive team meetings that resulted in greater interdivisional cooperation and increased revenue for the group.
  • Assisted in the design and facilitation of two events that brought two groups of 500 stakeholders together to find agreement over the current and desired states for their organization. The outcomes of these events shaped strategic direction and results for the next five years.

Ron has been active in the "not for profit" sector as a member of the Art Gallery of Ontario, volunteer board member with the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, board Member with the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, and Chair of the KLCOA Lake Planning Committee.
